hi
i wonder if anyone could help me with this. one of our neighbours has put up a satellite dish on their back wall which leads onto our back entrance. they put it up just above our back gate.
does anyone know what our rights are regarding this - can we ask them to take it down?

it is a new development but we have no management company at the moment so i cant check with them and the foreman of the site said to go to our solicitior, but thats not a route i want to take.

i have asked them to move it but they say they cant get a reception anywhere else on the wall.

what can we do? its such an eye sore.
does anyone have any advice?

If its to the back of the house and is on their property, not overhanging your property then I think you have no rights.

well you see technically its just on the border of our gate and this laneway between us is on the plans of our house , so the wall is not our property but the laneway is ?

It sounds from this as though it does overhang your property, in which case you have every right to have it removed.

What harm is is doing. Im sure there are a lot of more unsightly items located at the rear of a house.

Just for the record I'd be reasonable sure that it does not require planning permission either unless it is over 1 metre in diameter
