golfs... trendline comfortline etc

okay so, simple question for some of you enthusiasts out there... can someone explain to me the diffrence between all these 'lines' when it comes to a golf?
base, trendline, comfortline, gti, tdi etc...i've been glancing at a few diesel golfs and it would be great if i knew what these terms and abriviations meant?

Are you looking new or second hand?

All relate to levels of spec or extras.

second hand is what im after... diesel around 2002/03 with 60k or less

PDTDI or something like that is the one to go for. It's the 130BHP diesel. I swear I'm not obsessed with that figure...just that they give the best performance for the diesel.

Go for a comfortline model...as these have armrests.

I have a Golf comfortline and my biggest complaint with it is the velour seats! They are an absolute nightmare to keep clean.

Go for Highline or Sport, try and find one with ac or climate control.

Definitely look for 130 bhp 6 speed.
 
130 bhp - a mere fart of an engine. Everyone, even housewives on the school run need at least 225bhp :D
 
Good point RS although the school run also requires something the size of a Hummer so even a 225 bhp would struggle.

Probably the new BMW 535D or 335D would do the job.

Anyone know the numbers for todays Euro Lotto? :D
