Plain black and white tiles

Looking for a plain black and white tile that isn't too large, less than 5 inches, no marble effect or such, and where grout doesn't show. Almost impossible to locate yet such a simple request! Can find the victorian tiles, yet they're quiet expensive (3,000) for a hall
Hope someone can help
 
i put large white-ish tiles with black insert tile in my hall and kitchen. they are difficult to keep clean and light coloured paint on the wall does nothing for them. If you do go for a light coloured tile check that it will mop easily.
 
Any reason why you don't want grout to show? That will be very difficult to achieve. Are you planning on laying these yourself? If not, has your tiler agreed to do this?

Used a 100mm x 100mm black and white tile in my bathroom - they look great, and have a sort of matt finish so bnot too glossy. Giot them in tile style in their annual sale - I'll have alook and see if I havea spare box for the manufacturer's name.

I think Tile Style (?) near the Point Depot stocks them. They also stock tile insert for Victorian fireplaces and can have some reproductions made in England.
 
Try the Tile Centre,The 14 Upr William st Limerick Limerick (061)412722. Saw some beautiful French tiles there about 6months ago which are similar to what you discribed. Can't remember the price though!

Seems too good to be true doesn't it but a friend of mine just got 2k in BT vouchers after buying tiles from them....get down there quick tho!
 
Yes- TileStyle do stock black and white tiles- have got them from them myself in the past- they're good quality and good value. Also availed of this offer last time around- still don't know how they do it but there are no hidden catches. Only sorry I've got all the tiles I need.
