Send button in Outlook

I have just reinstalled all the s/w on my machine, a feat I have done a number of times on numerous PCs, and I have just encountered a strange problem. When I disable Word as my email editor, the Send button disappears..... I have tried Customise/Commands/File, but the send button is not there. When I re-enable Word, the Send button reappears. I have updated Windows & Office so they are bang up-to-date.

Any ideas??

Thanks for the pointer but no joy. I tried renaming the files (had the 1st 2), but no joy. Also tried the auto-repair, but no joy either. My problem is slightly different in that guy could see the save button, I can't.

Sorted.

I had not set up my email account as part of my rebuild, and quite reasonably, it would not let me send an email. Thanks for the help Clubman. Another one for experience.
