Hi A group of us, all ladies are going on a golf holiday to benalmedna in early october. We are staying in a hotel in the marina area, would anyone know of nice restaurants in the area? also any other tips on places to go Thanks

Re: restaurants benalmedena

Not much in Benalmadena in the way of restaurants. If you head uphill to the Arroya about 15 minutes from the marina you can hop on a train to Malaga city for a couple of euro. Lots of restaurants in the old town.
Take a taxi to Benalmadena Pueblo, about €5 and take the bus back €1. Beautiful white washed village.
Torremolinos a nice walk away with a larger selection of restaurants.

Re: restaurants benalmedena

loads of fish restaurants in calahonda which is between benalmedena and torremolinos

Sangria must have been going down well when you where there cu. :D 'cos that ain't where Calahonda is! It's about 16 km west of Fuengirola which is about 10km west of Benalmadena which in turn is about 11km west of Torremolinos. The op might find useful. Left click and hold to drag the map over and back to get to the relevant areas.

Re: restaurants benalmedena

Last time I was in Benalmadena the Marina was strewn with restaurants! What happened?? El Zoco in Calahonda is full of good restaurants all grouped together in one place. I believe they have El Zoco 2 now as well. I think Calahonda is between Marbella and Benalmadena, not in Torremolinos direction at all.

I can highly recommend Estart '92.........

 obviously not calahonda then!! it had fish stalls by day and restaurants by night and its obvious I cannot recall the name but think it began with a C:) . I had a quick squint at google earth just now and its only made me jealous. theres a webcam on casa antonio torremolinos and to see people strolling around in the warm air, no gales/no rain has made me  .and there was an add for a free pint, in some restaurant ( even I understand free in German) thanks a lot guys!!!
