I recently came behind a Garda squad car at nighttime in Limerick. One of the red rear lights was not working. Also one or the rear brake lights was not working. the car's reg was 04 D 1853. Can a Garda car be stopped at a check point?

Just the thought of doing that to one of that shower makes me so happy....... need to practice the official deep Garda giving out voice first....
 
Just 2 days ago I've seen garda car in Dorogheda as well. One of his front lights was gone as well. Do they not
think that rules apply to them as well??
 
Is it the norm for the gardai to have meals on wheels. There allways seems to be a garda car parked at my local filling station while the guards are inside getting their coffee and sandwichs. I saw another one today in the local SuperValu car park. Lights on and engine running when a Garda (Woman) came out with 2 Coffees

Do you think drinking coffee and driving - is the same as using a mobile phone. Think if he spilled his coffee. Could be sore.

Considering where you live,have you nothing else to be worrying about because i'm sure they have ?

Why do you think he/she lives in Limerick - he/she only made a comment about a garda car in Limerick. I dont live in Limerick but have visited there numeous times and never had a problem. A family member spent 4 years in UL and is actually living there now. Like everywhere else it has its bad spots.
