cost of extension

building an extension on side of house in naas area, 15 ft by 20ft, with hip roof, door and window in red brick front and patio door in back, internal ceiling sloping with wood, recessed lights, sockets rad, velux window in roof. got a quote but unsure what is good price? anyone have a clue what is max to pay?
 
Max pay is hard to say but i would reckon no more than 24k and a good price in and around 16k!
 
I'd say €35,000 to €40,000 or over more realistic unless you are going direct labour, could be more with the brick. It really depends on how much work there is in your area, get another couple of quotes. Builders from south of the county generally cheaper than those in north. Try a couple of the sun room specialist guys, they are often better value and faster than the general builders.

€20k would be the price of raw materials only... so i would not be surprised if OP got a quote anywhere between €45 and 60k, if not even more.
( i assumed your 35sqm extension as a couple of rooms incl bathroom)
 
thanks for response, price quoted is 27k, actually space is 11 sq metre including inside pael roofing, recessed lights and skirting, so seems fair, have tried a few others but they wont even quote! i wish someone would do for 16k! that would be great
