Just purchased a new laptop so am in the market for broadband. Was previously with ESATbt for dial up and service was good but customer service and billing etc was worse the bad, I can't even begin to describe how bad my experiences were. I swore never to deal with them again.............

My folks dont want to change there numbers so that limits me and they dontt want an aerial on their wall so that rules out the sattelite ones.

Eircoms free wireless router is the one saving grace for their fairly expensive package.
ESATs packages look good especially bundled with the line rental and calls but they dont give a wireless router.

What would people recommend. I want wireless coonectivity and reliability at a fair price. Also what download/uplaod limit should I be looking to get.

Eircom announced price cuts on some of their packages on Monday

The paper [Irish Examainer] also says that Eircom is cutting the price of its broadband products, claiming customers could save up to EUR180 a year. The company said the cuts will take effect from the beginning of October and will also apply to wholesale customers, which will allow other operators to offer better prices to Irish customers. Customers who use the 1Mbps Home Starter product will save EUR5 a month, the 2Mbps Home Plus product will drop by EUR10 a month, and the 3Mbps Home Pro product will drop in price by EUR15 a month.
