Problem uploading to filehost sites?

Hi all, just wondering wots the story with megaupload.com & rapidshare.de.
I was ULing a file (8MB) and after about 2 mins it just stopped.
No warning signs, or anything just paused.
I'm using a brand new ZyXEL Prestige 600ru-t1 modem which i got from imagine BB.
Can an1 help?..:confused:
 
Do you mean that it stops at the same point every time?
Were you definitely uploading to the remote site and not downloading from the remote site to your PC?
What application and protocol were you using to upload?

It stops at about the same piont every time yes.
I was definitely ULing and not DL from the sites, u brouse you HDD for a file then click upload.
What do you mean application and protocol?
I was using Opera. It worked with the dialup model but with this modem it just stops. It's like as if Opera crashes only why did it not with the dialup?:confused:
 
without looking at those sites, do you have to log in and if so have you been using them previously, is there an upload limit?
Is there an upload limit thats associated with your IP address, youd have a different one if you used dialup.

I never thought of that, i'll do it now but Opera never usually give me problems. Thanks anyway.;)

No, none of the above seem to be of any relevance, but thaks for the hepl anyway Car..:)
 
Just noticed that a common point here is the file itself - could it be corrupted? I assume it's some kind of media file, does it play all the way through...?
 
I have the same problem
it only seems to happen with Opera when the file uploading has reached 8MB

I use firefox for uploads now
