We have just put a new shower (and attached pump to improve pressure) and new hot water tank into the house. The tank is much bigger than before and obviously with the extra pressure due to the pump its uses much more hot water per shower.
We are still trying to see amount of time immersion needs to be on to heat the tank for two showers in the morning.
Q -- Is there any way of working out the most economical amount of time to have the immersion on to heat the tank as obviously we don’t want it on for ages using up electricity.
Currently we have it for 2 hours and it is only giving us about 5 mins of hot water in shower. We don’t have central heating on at present hence just using the electric immersion
