Barcelona in September - Recommendations please

Hi,
Thinking of taking a 1 week break in Barcelona in the next couple of weeks. I'd appreciate any feedback on good hotels to stay in (4*, good location, good value etc.) and any of the budget airline operators who fly there. Thanks.
 
aer lingus to Barcelona for about 100e return. and thats Barcelona not Girona where Ryanair goto. 20 mins into town.
 
Nice restos include The Attic on La Ramblas and also Quint Nites (think that's the spelling!) in Placa Real just off La Ramblas (you'll have to queue but it's well worth it).

BTW - Make sure to take a trip to Montserrat - not to be missed!
 
Jazz hotel , right beside La Ramblas, stayed there , would highly reccommend it for service, location , price and the rooms are total quality.
Google it as I'm not sure of the web address, found it on late rooms took a chance and went for it , last min weekend away,was not dissappointed.
 
Hotel LLeo to be recommended.Very close to train station and La Rambla.
 
I second Hotel LLeo stayed there in August Only €75 per room per night fully airconditioned staff lovely. Rooms were spotless and very central. Only problem is that there are building works going on to the rear of the hotel.

Hotel Jazz looks very luxurious and is very central too.

There are plenty of Irish bars over there too. There is a new one called The George Payne off Playa De Catalunya (sp). Its fully airconditioned, staff are very nice esp the aussie and NZ barstaff. They do good barfood too if you dont like fancy food (like my other half).

Make sure you do the bus tour as well, you can buy a 2 day ticket for €22, and you can get on and off the bus as many times as you like. It covers all the main attractions.

Also the boat tour around the harbour is recommended.

You'll have a ball there its a great city!!

Can highly recommend Jazz hotel also. See tripadvisor.
 
ShaneMc - direct from the AerLIngus website right now - 100.49 all inc return to Barcelona. Check it out yourself - i goto Barcelona 2 or 3 times a year and i've never paid over 120e with AerLingus.
