Cash surplus in Ltd company.

What difference to the point ye are arguing does it matter whether the OP has an accountant - Tommy's post was in response to a hypothetical (posited by Brendan) predicated on there being one.

Ye are arguing about the role of an accountant where there is one - Gordon & Brendan seem to think they need to be forthright / forceful in advising the client not to score own goals such as not drawing a salary to maximize use of tax credits etc... Tommy seems to disagree, but as usual it's difficult to pin down what he actually believes.

I say "seems" because I'm just coming to the thread and that's how I'm reading it...
