Transferring ownership of a car for parts with expired tax, nct, insurance

Hello. My daughter moved overseas a year ago and left her 2006 car in my garage. She now wants to get rid of it. While it drives great still (Nissan make great cars), the insurance, nct, and tax are all expired. The value does not make it worth getting everything updated to sell as an on road car. I would like to know if it’s possible to transfer ownership to someone who might want it for spare parts (or to put it back on the road) with all of the aforementioned expired. I know I can get it taken away for free by Nissan. But if there is scope to get a few bob for it by selling privately, so much the better. She has the ownership book. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.
 
Don't know about trying to actually sell it but I had a 2001 Clio and the local scrapyard gave me €200 euro for it, I couldn't quite believe it at the time, thought at best I'd get 50 quid and it taken away. It actually could have been put back on the road too if someone had a mind to do the work but a bit old to be insuring. So I wouldn't be giving it away for nothing to Nissan, check a few dismantlers around you and see what they offer.

A previous old car I had again with a fixable problem but not economic for me to fix I swapped with the garage owner for a free service on my newer car. It ended up being uneconomic for him to fix too so he lost out that time!
 
There is a procedure for a motor tax holiday if your vehicle is off the road but it absolutely has to be done in advance. You’ve missed the boat on this.

I got €240 from a scrapyard for a car of similar vintage. If I’d negotiated I might have got more. Ring around.

I always thought motor tax arrears were not transferred to new owners? Perhaps that’s changed

You could sell it privately as is once you advertise it for parts, no nct, tax etc. DoneDeal or adverts would get it shipped quickly
 
Sorry for bringing up old thread, but as some of the points discussed in this seem relevant to my query.
My wife has been left an old off the road car by late uncle. Hasn't been taxed(or started) for last 4 years as he was in nursing home.
No motor tax holiday was applied for as a lot going on at the time.
If she transfers the car into her name, does she only have to pay its motor tax from when ownership is signed over to her.
Would her late uncles estate have to pay the past 4 years motor tax, or is that wiped clear
