How much do you tip the delivery driver when ordering a takeaway?

We are ordering a takeaway tonight. We don’t order all that often. There is a €5 delivery fee. How much would you tip the delivery driver?
 
2 euro on the odd occasion I am too cream crackered to collect.
Prefer collection as it saves a round the world in 80 mins delivery experience and having to reheat it int microwave.

I understand a delivery fee is required if I want someone to drive to my home with a take away and personally I like to give the delivery driver a tip, some don’t tip, no problems there.

Recently I looked at ordering a pizza on line for collection from a local pizzeria, they apply a €1.90 service charge for ordering on line, you are then invited to leave a tip of 0% 10%, 15% .................

Mad the way things are now.

We always tip the delivery person, normally circa 2 euro they aren't being paid much and can get a lot of messing around. For many I'd say it's a second job too. Also as Knuttell says above if you look after them and order often they might prioritise your delivery.

In general for anyone providing a good service I tip/give them a bit etc IF I can afford it.

For example I had an electrician come to check everything in a 2001 house I recently got the keys for. Gave him the "ould few bob" etc as he was super thorough, now as I'm remodelling the kitchen and doing other items that need rewiring etc he replied instantly and came up the next day.

Naturally tradespeople are quite different to takeaway deliveries, but what's the harm in saying thanks with 2 euro?

There's a charge for delivery imposed by all of the delivery services that I use, so I don't tip.

Most of those charges are in the region of €3.50 - €4.50, whichI actually consider excessive, given the area all relatively local, and operating in a built up part of the city. If the delivery person isn't getting that full charge, that's an issue for the delivery person and the restaurant.
