Withdrew 500 quid on Tuesday from Bank of Ireland atm and bank has taken out two 500 and are in no hurry to give it back i am with ulster bank , rang ulster and they said it could take 14 days to get my money back. All my DD come out of this acc and it's a bit of a pain

Sounds as if Bank of Ireland ran a transaction file twice in error. Bank of Ireland will have charged Ulster Bank €1000 for the 2 transactions in inter bank settlements. Whilst it is a BOI issue, BOI will not refund you directly as you are not a BOI customer. BOI need to refund UB who will then refund you. You need to make a formal request to UB for a refund.

Bank of Ireland posted on twitter at 10:20 that refunds had been processed to all banks. As UB process the file you should see the money back in your account.
It'd be interesting to see how quickly it's back.

They put in yesterday evening and taken it out again today don't know what they are at

I have also been affected (€600). A real inconvenience,.

Just got refunded a moment ago.
