Is this a new thing - publishing these lists, starting from such small amounts? I would have thought in the past they only published names where people owed many €1000s. eg. there are 14 people listed with 0 fine, & many more under 1k.
Is it possible to ascertain if the parties who appear on the Revenue list have in fact paid the tax settlement figure?
It would appear that publication does not mean the tax has been paid. What annoys me is that some sections of the media suggest otherwise.No, it's not possible. As Mrs Vimes said, historically people used to simply not pay the liability in full and thereby avoid publication indefinitely.
