What's the best or at least the most efficient way of cashing in low denomination coins?

I'm content to bag bigger coins but coppers aren't worth it, is there any machines in Dublin with no commission?

you could try some charities, they usually have counting machines, they may charge you a little for the priviledge, otherwise just donate the lot to a charity of your choice!

The cheapest way is to count them yourself.

The most efficient is to use one of those machines. Don't they charge a % of the amount, so with coppers, the commission you pay will be small compared to the amount of time that you would spend counting coins of little value.

You can use your spare coins in the self service checkouts, with no charges, when paying for your grocery shopping, at Dunnes Stores, Tesco etc.

It would take forever just putting a euro's worth in. I have tried it and it would drive you mad as they keep dropping down through the slot. It's fine a few cents worth but that's about it.

My local Tesco has a machine. Charge is 10% of coinage. Machine issues paper receipt. Collect cash at check-out.

I've seen a similar machine in Dunnes in Kilnamanagh Shopping Centre as well. Have you thought about giving them to a local charity such as the Vincent De Paul? I'm sure they'd gladly take it off your hands
