Best place for a new pc monitor

hi.
So I have an old CRT monitor and its finnaly starting to act a bit dodgy after all the years of service. I need to buy a new monitor.

From what I have in LCD flatscreen tv's , although the ads will scream great image excellent colours I have never seen a flatscreen tv with the same image as the old big bulky tvs. The images blur and pixelate in the new flatscreens. The old tv's displayed images better.

I'm wondering if its the same for PC monitors? I wouldnt even change my crt monitor if it wasnt about to give up the ghost.

so can anyone recommend a mid level PC monitor , LCD I guess? and where is the best place to get one. Would 150 euro get me a good quality monitor?

just to add, I actually never heard of BENQ. I wonder if they are a reliable brand. Trying to buy new technology is always confusing...so many variables
