The process is likely:
*Plug in aerial
*Go to Menu and look for the auto-tune option. After a couple of minutes you should have all your channels.
**You may have to select the country so that it knows what frequencies to use to find the channels.

Hi there
I don't have an ariel. I thought TV had a built in one?

Thanks for your reply. This is our first new TV in like 15 years and I'm close to tears trying to set it up!

No, it's very unlikely to have a built-in one. What county are you in? You may only need a small indoor one.

Your first new TV, but you had one in the same house before? Do you have UPC or Sky?

Hi again
We have a very old tv connected to UPC in our sitting room but we just got a kitchen extension and bought this TV for the new room. We are in Dublin 16. I assumed it would automatically pick them up.
Any advice on how to set it up would be very much appreciated, thanks again

You could try getting an internal aerial such as this amplified one and see if you can get a good signal:

or wire from your living room to your kitchen extension

No problem, give that a try and let us know how you get on - keep the box!

OP is looking to tune in terrestrial broadcasts.

Lexus, the TV has a built-in tuner, no TV like that comes with a built-in aerial. The choice of aerial type will be down to where you live and how close you are to the nearest mast. Position of TV within the house and build materials may play a part as well. In a remote location, you may need to use an external aerial, but in D16, an indoor one like the above should be fine.
