1. Gerry Adams failing to explain why he didn't go to the authorities when his brother confessed abusing his daughter. No worries Gerry. Not the first time you have lived in denial.
2. 4 TD's sitting in a Lithuanian court in support of Michael Campbell. Where to next guys? Peru?
3. Peter Matthews resigning from FG making the headlines. Who cares? FG are delighted to get rid of you and your sanctimonious sermons.
4. Lucinda Creighton moaning about not being allowed to sit at the top table during FG events. Struggling families will be horrified.
5. This whole referendum about the Seanad. NO ONE CARES. the Government are talking rubbish and the Seanad is too useless to make a case for themselves.
6. Budget talk about if a budget of cuts of €2.8 billion instead of €3.1 billion is a victory for labour. Are they serious? That's a victory?
7. Just to show it's not unique to Ireland, you have US politicians bringing the world to the brink of an economic abyss and causing hundreds of thousands of people that they are meant to represent to be out of work because they want to score political points.

I'd say struggling families could not care less about Lucinda and her sensibilities.

(I'm reduced to cringe-inducing exclamations to start a post, more vernacular language not being appropriate....).

Off to vote (yes & yes), not that anyone cares one way or the other, I remember the days (...cue golden sunshine over meadows & sentimental music .... ) when you'd be guaranteed a 100+ post scrap about a referendum, now we hardly look up from the desk.

Is apathy overcoming us or do they need to find more urgent or exciting issues to get us engaged?
