Bank of Ireland Raise Credit Card Rates by up to 4%

BoI have raised credit card rates by up to a significant 4%.

BoI now charge 23.5% for basic Visa Personal Credit Card.

Customers are best off switching. For those that pay off their credit card in full every month, then the Tesco Credit Card with rewards might be the best option.

No problem, the first notification that you get might be on the credit card bill itself. Banks often only have an obligation to place media notices of rate changes.

I have a clear credit card with just over 2.5k on it and a credit limit of 20k....I only saw this because of the media notices. They dont write to you any more.

For those that pay off their credit card in full every month ..

.. interest is not an issue. They would be charging paday loan rates, and it would not be a stimulus to change provider.
