Courier for high volume of small packages

Hi All

We send a lot of small packages every day throughout the whole country and are looking to switch courier due to some problems we cannot resolve. We have a high volume of items under 1kg, 500g, 250g and 100g. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of a courier who can offer competitive prices in this area.

I've bought stuff from a company in Dublin that use DPD. seem very reasonable, and found the service was good. Ghe charge you see is what the customer pays.

DPD Ireland next business day service to ship orders for us with online tracking for a flat rate €6.49 + vat.
 
Thanks guys, I have used dpd before and their service is excellent but it is the items under 1kg i need competitive prices for.

Thanks for the suggestion Pat but An Post Prices are too expensive compared with previous couriers I have used.
 
We use fastway couriers in Portarlington. I know they have a nationwide service. Always find them efficient and reasonable - worth a call I suppose.
 
Google Irish Export Co-operative - that might be of use.

(I've no connection to this - just read about it and thought it was a good idea)

Fastway is a franchise so their service isn't always dependable.
 
Have you had a meeting with an post sales? If not, contact them. They may surprise you - I'm on a next day parcel rate of €4 and I know if my main items were small items the rate would be lower.
