Hi All,

Just wondering what the best batteries are for toys? Going away for Christmas this year so am trying to be organised early...

I will be having to get battery sizes AA, AAA and LG44 (The little power cell ones) for the various toys...I bought Elefun last year and this needed more powerful batteries than I had bought - some cheap ones from a local shop. And had to go borrow some of brother in law to make to toy work.

So which has the most power, longest lasting - duracell, every ready - any other makes I don't know about?

Thanks,
C

I think they are called Energizer Lithium, I find them very good on power hungry devices and well worth the extra money.

I always buy rechargeable batteries.

Rechargable batteries are often not suitable for all toys.
Rechargables discharge slowly over time if not used.

A lot of toys are used for an hour or two a day at most and can be dropped and not used for days at a time.

I have used rechargables in infrequently used toys and it is not a success, Half the time, the batteries are dead when the toy is picked up again after a while.

V.F.M. 24 pack Duracell @ Woodies. €9.99. Exp date, 2018

I used rechargables but not sold on them anymore as ordinary batteries are now so cheap here compared to years ago.
