Hi, does anyone know if prepaid envelopes from another country are recognised by An Post. I have a Postage Paid envelope from a foreign company, will it be accepted by An Post.

As a stamp collector, I would say that the foreign prepaid envelopes are not valid for postage in this country.

In some cases prepaid envelopes have International postage pre-paid, I know TIME magazine's envelopes are paid for postage from anywhere in the EU.

Thanks for the replies. I've emailed An Post and will let you know the reply. I mailed them on Thursday - no reply yet, just like the real post I suppose.

Seems you're correct Shesells, below is the reply from An Post:

If the postage paid envelope indicates "International" the postage will be paid for by the addressee. If not the sender will have to pay for an international stamp €0.82.

Thanks for all the replies.
