Paris CDG Airport to EuroDisney

Anyone used a private shuttle / taxi recently from Paris to Eurodisney. If so how did you get on and how was the price??????

Have a bus voucher for the return trip but flight times have changed and we will miss out on a few valuable hours so looking for quicker way of getting to Eurodisney. 2 adults and 3 kids (3, 5, 6).

Also, have been told that the advertised time of 40/45mins for the bus transfer is way off. More likely takes 2 hours.

We were there in the spring and the shuttle bus set up was a shambles in my opinion.

The instructions/explantion about the shuttle bus system were poor / non existant.

Step 1. Find the internal shuttle bus to bring you to another part of the terminal. It was difficult to work out where to get these. These internal busses are Mickey Mouse Branded so its not intuitative are they the Busses to disney or internal. This bus trip (including finding it and waiting for it) took 15 - 20 mins.

Step 2. When you get to the Disney Bus (operated by Vea) location (in the basement of another terminal 2E/2F??). You are confronted with a queue at a desk. If you have your tickets its not clear that whether you have to queue here an then again at a seperate bus que out on the bus stop.

Step 3. There are two seperate Disney Busses one goes to the hotels and anonther goes to the train station out at the park. How do you know which bus you are getting on? The drivers just shrug or worse just say "oui" when asked if the bus goes to the hotel. There was a big queue and jostling and queue jumping. We got on the one which we were assured would go to our hotel. The bus took what seemed like a long time went to most of the hotels (it actually went to within 500m of our hotel). It then turned back and landed us a the trainstation at the Disney Park.

Step4 We then had to board the hotel shuttle bus to bring us to the hotel. This is the same shuttle bus that brings you to and from the park each day.

All in all a very frustrating experience which took nearly 3 hours.

We had a great time and apart from the busses the only problem we had was the very rude / very nasty/ very aggressive queue jumping for everything (even getting a childs photo taken with a Disney Character, but thats another story).


If I was going again I would definetly consider paying up to about €75 to cut through the hassle and get a cab directly to the Hotel.

You've just made the decision for me. Seems like a lot of hassle that will def. not be needed with 3 kids hanging of us. All we want to do is land and get to the park asap.

Have looked at a few sites for private minibuses and the average price seems to be around €170 - €190, sounds good value if we can there quicker.

Not easily. You would have to take RER B to Chatelet Les Halles which is one of the busiest, most complicated and unpleasant train stations in Paris and change there to RER A to Marne La Vallee.

Wouldn't be too bad for adults only (with light luggage) but would not recommend it for people travelling with children.

Surely all you have to do is cross the platform, as both lines at this stage are running west - east?

It is a nightmare of a train station. As the previous poster said, it is not too bad if you are just adults but carting around bags and kids in that station is not to done lightly.

You can get the TGV from the airport directly. Only takes about 15 mins but is more expensive than the RER (still reasonable).

Travelling as a family, we found no problem with the Chatelet Les Halles RER switch. I wish we could say the same for Disneyland

We went to Disneyland Paris, via CDG, about 4 years ago. Following advice from a colleague, I booked a private shuttle; getting a taxi from the rank at CDG is a relatively more expensive option. By coincidence, neighbours of ours were on the same flight and elected to take the Park shuttle.

We each got out of Baggage Reclaim around the same time and then went in different directions. They got to their hotel about an hour ahead of us. We spent our time trying to locate the pick-up point for the private shuttle and getting sent one way and then the next, each time accompanied by one of those infamous Gallic shrugs.

I believe ajapale's account of what they endured to be accurate, but may not be representative, based on my own experience.

Paris CDG is not a user friendly airport...especially if you're flying Aer Lingus into Terminal 1 and its hamster wheel set up. Signage isn't great and if you don't speak the language...ot really can be a nightmare to exit. Might be worth considering a private car hire service where the driver will wait at arrivals.

Chatelet is my least favourite RER station in the city, and not just because of the stench...I really would not choose to connect their if it's avoidable, especially with young children. Getting the RER to Marne la Vallee also means you have to endure the beggar types who put Disney pins on the seats for the kids to see and then seek payment for them.
