Single Agenda Posters on AAM

Is anyone else tired of single agenda members?

These are the guys who pop up on multiple threads with the same point, regardless of how tenuous that point is to the discussion.

I find it tiresome and a waste of time.

Recent examples include:
  • The West is finished
  • Agri-business is destroying the environment
  • US military spending is obscene
  • We should tax derivative transactions
  • Pension providers are ripping people off
It borders on the obsessive in some cases. There are posters where I see their name appear as most recent contributor and I already know what their exact point is going to be, often despite the thread being a completely separate.

I'm sure many of you will recognise the above points, are there any others of a similar nature?

If someone comes on this thread to debate one of the points above, have they proved my point???

I agree.

I could probably name names.

To other posters; If you don't agree then you are probably one of them :D

You won't get many replies until tomorrow morning
The public service workers finished up ages ago and won't be back until tomorrow morning.

Maybe they'll reply before their third morning tea break

Ha! micmclo, Dream on!

I wish I could live in your fantasy public-sector land!

I wish that we had a decent coffee break and lunch break without work-related interruptions not to mention the barrage of e-mails after work hours. This evening, so far, after work hours I had 12 (twelve) work-related messages and 2 (two) requests for voluntary work during our lunch break of 40 minutes!

Ah this is The Depths, if it was a serious post I'd have gone elsewhere

I should have put in a :) or one of these :D

Wasn't meant to be taken seriously

I don't rant about the public service anyway though there are a few who do

Change the boring long playing record lads

Couldn't be bothered using one of your stupid smilies but seriously??? Would it have bothered you less if I had used bank bashing as an example of single agenda members? Wouldn't mind but I posted it to show the stupidity of many public sector threads. Guess I need to work on my sarcasm.

I find Single Agenda Members' behaviour on AAM absolutely appalling! Now, anyone for a nice sandwich and a pint of Beamish in a pub not a million miles from here? ;) :) :D  :p

Ha! Again!

I think that The Banker is trolling and having a laugh.

But, maybe the private sector people will have a different perspective?

Lex: I was in West Cork last weekend, but I didn't make it to the city to that famous pub of yours. Maybe next time. :)

Obviouly, the Banker jests, but he raises a good point. These forums are used by people to broadcast their own opinions and agendas only. It comes with the territory and people if they so-wish can enter the forum quite easily.

The job the ordinary user has is to (over time) identify these users and if necessary to ignore their contributions.

If I'm one of the single agenda posters, I wonder what my single agenda is?

It could be related to coffee; I am excessively fond of the stuff.

Or chocolate.

I like children too.

Hmmm.
