Smelly leather chair!

I've taken ownership of a leather arm chair that has a lot of sentimental value, the problem is it smells strongly of cigarette smoke and has been damaged by cats sharpening their nails on the side of it. Does anyone know if it's possible to recover leather and if so where in Dublin I'd get it done?

yes look under upholsters in the telephone directory or google it.The smell can be removed with baking soda left on for several hours but not sure about doing this on leather

Not sure if these people do leather reupholstering but you could give them a shout [broken link removed] I found them to be good. Getting the chair recovered could be as costly as buying a new one but you do mention sentimental value.

Thanks Sue Ellen i'll give them a call. I'm expecting it to be pricey but i can't part with it!

Sue Ellen many thanks for the reply got the chair back from ajfurniture today and it looks great.
