I am thinking of buying an iPhone, I have shopped around all the Phone suppliers, they would blind and confuse you with details. i find it most confusing.
I would appreciate if someone could tell me which is the best deal on bill pay.

Thanks

It really depends on what your usage is. The more expensive the monthly package you are on , the cheaper the initial cost of the phone is. You need to indicate if you will be using the phone for just calls or calls plus internet usage. What is your current monthly package costing you ?

You can also buy the iphone direct from apple sim-free and unlocked, its a bit costly at 600 but then you have more options with what plan you want to go for from O2 etc.

I bought the iphone from apple and have the sim-free plan plus a 1GB data allowance per month:

Costs per month are:
Billpay Plan: €25 - this gives free calls to O2 mobiles and Irish Landlines
1GB add on: €12.50

You can use the "eirtext" free iphone app that allows you to send up to 250 texts per month via your O2 web text allowance.

I found most of the iphone plans weren't as good as this as I wanted unlimited calls to o2 mobiles and landlines. Its not a bad deal for less than 40 per month. If you dont have to ring non-O2 mobiles much then there won't be many extra costs.

Hi,

I am looking at getting an iPhone 4 but would be grateful for some input on whether to get a 16GB or a 32 GB - There seems to be quite a difference in the price.

Also on the price plans the 1st option is get 500 mb of data. Is this enough. I plan to use it to surf the net, use apps, listen to radio etc

I am with o2.

Any advise most welcome

It depends on what you want the space on the iPad for. Do you plan on having a lot and I mean a lot of photos, music, apps. My iPhone is 8gb and I find it is enough it is only have full and I have about 30 apps over 400 photos and about 300 songs.
On the other hand my iPad is 32gb but I have far more apps, photos, documents and music. Then again my use for the iPad is kind of like a portable computer. I still have my laptop of course but if I go out shopping or go on a weekend trip it is enough to hold all the important documents I may need.

I would say if you really do want a lot of music then go for the 32gb as in the beginning you will download loads of apps but end up deleting a large majority of them in no time.

As for the data allowance mine from o2 is 1gb (I am on the lowest plan) but I guess they have now decreased the allowance. I have never used above or around 300gb of this and I use it daily for mail/internet. The only thing that will increase usage is watching a lot of videos.

Before you go out and buy it think of what you really do want to use it for and this should answer your questions.

I signed an 18 month contract with 3. 110 for the handset, 60pm. That comes with 550 minutes plus an "extra" which I took in minutes - another 250 I think
