What will be impact on Irish share market if there is default?
Will bank's share be delisted? I am trying to figure out what kind of shares should be bought?

You might be best to find an alternative market to invest in or better still, hold on to your cash.

I agree with mercman, look at investing somewhere else, as the risks here are extremely high especially in the financial market which is solely dependent on the governemnt "guarantee" and the ECB. Saying that, you can often find great investments in very troubled markets, but the risks are high and you'd want to know what you are doing.

You are right that keeping the cash will be the right choice, issue could be if the money already in equity and in loss.
Reading to Morgan Kelly in Irish Times, it looks that we are nearly at default, though BoI seems bit better then AIB at this stage, but seems nothing can be said as wikipedia says in its Economy_of_Ireland page that "Rumours circulated that Spain's Grupo Santander had expressed an interest in acquiring Bank of Ireland but the acquisition was not undertaken when due diligence had been undertaken. This was subsequently denied by Bank of Ireland.[43]"

Who says -- the two Banks ?? Remember when the Chief Executive of AIB said in a very coarse tone 'We do not need any more money'. What a pathetic statement to make when in effect they were near and are insolvent. We have come from a nation of creative hard working people to a bunch of liars and crooks.

And to add insult to injury we, the people of Ireland are allowing these people to take glutteninbg portions of salaries and bonuses.

...when their organisaitons should be bankrupt and their reputation ruined.

Ireland, like the US became a credit junky, at and individual, enterprise and state level.
