I've spent the last 3-4 months looking out for 3 bed semi's in the raheny area and i have yet to find 1 that i like. I have a budget of around 280000k. I work in Ballsbridge and i have heard so many good things about raheny. But it seems to be a very settled area with old type houses. I've been searching daft and myhome and the house that are there are very old and run down looking finding it very hard to find a house i like. Just wondering anyone living or renting out there is this the general concensus ?

Thanks.

Quick reaction from reading your post is that 280K is on the low side for a decent 3 bed semi in Raheny

[UPDATE] I've since had a look at www.myhome.ie and saw one describing Tonlagee Road as Raheny. Never heard that combination before !

Houses in Foxfield and Maywood and St. Assams are all over 300K. Anything below that indicated a 'do-er up-per'.

Have you considered Harmonstown ? On the DART, near Raheny, priced differently.

maybe i'm picking up your message incorrectly but have you gone out to look around the area at all? you might find estates that meet your needs a bit better having looked around the area and a little further afield.

what has attracted you to raheny that perhaps further out off the kilbarrack road/bayside wouldn't?

I was about to post that you'd be doing well to find a house in Bayside for under 300K, 'til I found one on the site asking 280K .

Close to DART, coast road (buses), shops, blah, blah, blah.
