I can't verify my Paypal account with my Laser Card. (Big surprise!)

I'm 17. I'm still in secondary school.
I can't get an account with Ulster Bank.

My choice of banks (which give me a debit card) are very limited.

What can I do? :(
 
Get a 3V card.

You have to be over 16 to get one so you'll qualify.

It's a 'top-up' type of VISA card.

You get a card, go to a PAYZONE outlet, buy any amount up to €350 (think it's higher now - but not sure)

€20 - cost you nothing
€30 to €100 will cost you €2.50
Over €100 will cost you €5.00

You can add the 'disposable Visa' number you get to your PayPal account. It last 3 months but you can remove the old one and add the new one you'll get.

You life saver! This is perfect.
Basically..

I buy a card every 3 months, for my paypal account?
Do I need to top up the card, to verify with Paypal?
 
The top up card only lasts three months but you if you buy a new top up you can move any remaining balance to the new card online via 3v.ie ...... but it costs €2.50 to move it!

You don't have to add a card to PayPal until you need to havce the funds there.

Sometimes I verify my card with PayPal, sometimes I don't. If I need to spend it straight away I don't bother.

Everytime you top-up you get anew visa number ... so you could have multiple cards on PayPal. Only downside is that if you pay with one card and it runs out of money it won't go to another one for the cash.

You specify a 'primary card' so that it goes to take money out of that one. Usually I have one or two listed and I just move balances to keep ahead of myself.

You buy top-up with visa number on it. Epiry date and ccv number come by email or text to you (depending on how you set it up).

(Another way of having money on PayPal - You can always send money to PayPal in Dublin and they'll add it to your PayPal account). If you pay for anything then ... your PayPal balance is used first, then it goes to the card you set as 'primary'.

Re. verifying ... if doing it you do it just after you add the card.

If you logon to your Paypal account you will get the necessary data to setup your account as a beneficiary.

ie. Account Number, Sort Code and reference number.

Have you setup your mobile to receive activation codes for new beneficiaries?
