Just looking for some suggestions on a new phone for myself.

Am gearing towards the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro (or similar makes), I've read really good reviews and mediocre reviews but no bad ones and it ticks all the boxes for me but I'm just wondering does anyone have any other suggestions?

The last 3 phones I've bought I've had serious problems with (and problems with the service provider) so I really want a good solid reliable phone that I won't have to worry about it breaking 2 weeks down the line and then having to replace.

I got the X10 Mini Pro in August. I choose it mainly because I wanted a smart phone but didn;t want a huge phone, the smaller size of this appeals and I really like the little keyboard - necessary with the smaller screen. I think if you are going to spend a lot of time online etc the small screen size may not appeal however I find the size of the screen fine and I do use the internet a good bit on it. The camera is fairly limited but again that doesn't bother me as I rarely use the phone for photos. It comes I think with a 2mb card - I switched to a bigger one and have found it great for music and downloading podcasts etc.

After all my toing anf froing - I got the galaxy S. At first I thought no way it was way too big but now I've got used and think my old phone is tiny . Its great

Thanks for that greenfield, have gotten good reviews like that from most people and online.

Thanks foxylady, I would love the galaxy but i'm pay as you go and it's just too expensive for me

€20 and that includes all my phone calls and all my texts

Last 2 billpay phones I had were a real disaster. Bought the lg viewty and after two weeks it broke on me, brought it into vodafone and when it came back I was told it had water damage eventhough the phone had never come into contact with water, woman in vodafone shop told me that "if you have very sweaty hands condensation may have gotten into the phone and caused water damage". I had to fork out for a brand new phone as obviously I had just signed up for a contract with them and if I wanted to break the contract I would've had to pay a shedload in charges. Bought a new phone and had nothing but trouble with it as well. Vodafone did nothing to assist me during the whole disaster and it's just turned me off billpay phones completely even if they do sometimes work out cheaper during the actual purchase of a phone. Thanks though.

Other thing is i already have an ipod and it would feel wasteful to me to go out and buy something to replace that when there's nothing wrong with my ipod.
