I have a 1997 ford fiesta - never got a master key as I bought it privately 2 yrs ago and this week my husband lost the only key. Does anyone have any idea how much a new key will cost?

I'm guessing it will be a few hundred anyway. I had a 97 Fiesta myself about 8 years ago and I remember the guy at the garage commenting on replacement key cost. Think he said about €300 but I'm not sure. He could have been talking rubbish though I suppose.

Go to a good locksmith who deal in auto keys.The fiesta model in question - 97 to mid 99 can be coded to a new key once the locksmith has the correct blank key which becomes the new master.You may need a new barrel but that is a fairly straightforward job.
