Has anyone views on the new skoda octavia vrs crtdi. I'm thinking of changing in the new year(depends on trade in price, which could be miserable) and I am looking for existing owners reviews.

I bought a black 07 VRS 2.0Tdi back in May and I love it. I use it driving in Dublin and also on regular motorway trips (which it loves more so).

The build quality and spec for the price seems to be fantastic. There is so much room inside compared to other similar cars and the boot in the saloon (technically a hatchback though) is so vast. Its very comfortable even on the 17" wheels that I have. I currently average about 40mpg and this is due to my mainly city driving. It would easily do between 45-50 if using it on motorways.

Any questions just pop them up or check out www.briskoda.net

I am waiting on my new one to arrive but just to let you know.. If you are thinking of changing soon into the new year you might want to order it now.
I ordered my one on 5th may and hopefully will have it early october.

I went to a local Skoda garage to look at the VRS but they had sold the showroom model. The sales rep was supposed to contact me with details of the trade in price(trading in a 07 octavia elegance 1.9tdi), but I have heard nothing from him since. Is he not bothered in selling me a new car? Typicall car salesperson. I may have to go to another county to try and buy a new car!!!
I am a member on Briskoda, so i've done my homework on the VRS. Great car!!

Are you buying a 10D or are you going to wait
to get a brand new one in 2011?

Skoda Octavia are good sellers- you may be better trying to sell privately first.

I'm hoping to buy a new one in 2011. There are very few in stock at the moment. Loooks like I may have to sell it privately (ideal taxi) and then buy one in a straight deal. Problem is that I will have to wait 4/5 months for a new car.
Do I have to give a guarantee if I sell the car privately? Trade in prices for cars can be quite miserable even though my present octavia is in mint condition

I may know someone who will be interested in purchasing privately if you send me the details and contact number by PM.
