Writing down a tracker mortgage

I currently have a mortgage of 250k on a property worth 175k with my ex-husband and need to sell it to be in a position to buy again. The only benefit is the fact that the mortgage is on a tracker. I would ideally like to sell the tracker back to the bank, does anybody know if this is possible or what options I have available to me?

Lenders are not giving discounts for the early repayments of trackers.

The only thing you might be able to do is to negotiate a deal to get your husband off the mortgage - difficult but achievable.

AIB, BoI, UB, KBC and ptsb allow borrowers to move their tracker to a new property but charge an additional 1% and some have other restrictions.

Danske and Bank of Scotland don't.
