I got a good insurance quote for the wife of E294.00 fully comp with named driver, 1.6 car, 5k, Then I rang them to seek a better quote than that and I ended up with a quote of E239.00, just thought I would pass it on
I always use the online quote as a base to begin my haggling. I've never taken the online quote. This years insurance was €63 cheaper after the online quote. it's with no nonsense too.
They where E319.00 for same, also that was our last insurer they suck you in on 1st policy and think you wont ring around when renewal up, not me , told them aswell and they would not match, AA by the way was the insurer
It drives me mad that an online quote isn't necessarily best price. I've had a couple of companies call me and asked why I haven't taken their online quote and then say they can do better. If they want my business they should give me their best quote when I ask for it. I research online to avoid making calls in the first place!
