About 25 years ago friends wife died aged about 40. He had returned to this country from England about 10yrs previously. He was in employment here with a semi state organisation and had three young children.
He states that he was refused a widowers pension or other benefit. End result was he emigrated. Is this correct? Was there a widowers pension here about 25 yrs ago? If he was entitled to a pension then who should he contact now? thanks
