We've engaged a solicitor for the legals of remortgaging and purchasing a second property. Should we be able to work out in advance with them what they will charge? If it's a percentage are we entitled to know what it is?
Despite repeated attempts to clarify this, they still haven't told us. All they've said is it's based partly on a percentage (but not what percentage) and partly on "risk to them" (not explained despite requests). What risk?
Are we being fobbed off?
