Who has made money overseas lately?

OP wanted to know where people made money? How much? What factors caused it?

Can someone enlighten us with some good news stories about property investment overseas?

1. Has anyone sold recently and made a killing? Just tell us in percentages if you are bashful or think the Revenue is watching.
2. Country?
3. What type of investment was it: buy to flip or buy to let?
4. Overall, what was the reason you made money?

Just sold an apartment on west coast of Barbados in St James brought in 2004 just after the sales tax of 10% was abolished. We brought at 175k euros and sold for 345k euros. 2 bed. We spent 2 weeks holiday there when it was complete and then sold so it was finished and furnished. it was a small complex. A number of points i think raised prices but the main one being supply and demand. On the west coast there is no where left to build. Its very upmarket and celebs holiday there so it was always going to be popular.

We are looking to hopefully do the same on the East Coast which is untouched really we have reserved 2 units at a development called merricks residence in st philip.
