Where I can sell local honey?

I keep a few hives in my back garden and would like to sell some honey. I don't have time to mind the stands in farmers markets or other markets. And also, I can not tell bees how much honey they need to produce, so the yields can vary. Is there a local health food store in North Dublin sell local honey and don't mind how much I can bring in, can I get into contact? And what is a fair price for that?

Thanks,

Jen

As far as I know you need to be registered as a producer of honey with the department of Agriculture before you can sell to the public. You should check with them first.

Before somebody else says it - Why not sell it to contributors on this Forum. Just set up a Thread . . . Askabouthoney!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Local honey is best sold locally, put the word out and ask your neighbours if they would buy a few pots from you.
