This was brought to my attention today by a director from another MC who is a friend of mine. In our budget there is a cost of about €300 for file archive and storage. You'd think that either meant a separate off site archive or a secure archive retained by the Management Agent.
Well in both our cases the files are in the house of the owner of the Management Agent
Not happy about this at all. This only came to light when info from AGM files was sought. In this case the owner has recently passed away and the director was told there'd be a delay in getting the files "under the circumstances".
I think the whole situation is unacceptable - but something I'd never considered where the files were stored. Do you know where yours are?
