Hello ,I have looked for an answer to this question but cant find it anywhere so apologies if it has been already answered and thanks in advance to anyone that can help.
In August 2008 I lost my job.After a few months of applying for jobs and not getting them I applied for unemployment assistance.In February 2009 I started to receive Job seekers benefit. This payment stopped in Jan 2010 and I had to fill in forms again and meet with a social officer to apply for Jobseekers allowance.In May 2010 I received back dated payment to Jan 2010 and have received a weekly payment since then.I have since qualified for a Medical card for myself and 2 kids which will not expire until October 2011.
My question is when will the current weekly payment of Job seekers allowance I am receiving stop ?Is the job seekers allowance for a "set " period of time?
