Waterford hotels- 3star or 4 star Athenaeum House

I have potential weekend break for above Athenaeum House Hotel or a choice of 3 star hotels in the city. What would anyone recommend please?

We stayed in the Athenateum (wrong spelling!) in November. Very nice, quite upmarket. Not 5 star, but maybe 4 star.

The location is one issue. We wanted to visit the city both nights, and that required taxis to and fro. The fare is about 8-10 euro. It would be a 15 min walk to Ferrybank and a 25-35 min walk to the city.

If you want a quality, country house -style hotel, the go for it.

Sorry to change towns/ cities, any idea if White's in Wexford would be good- we have good rate from there and might change
