Health Insurance Waiving of Shortfall on Orthopaedic

I have seen it mentioned in a few posts that some hospitals might possibly do this. Anyone any idea if this is still the case?

Some years ago I rang Blackrock to get their view and at that time they were willing to waive the additional cost but this may have changed since then. Perhaps give them a call or some of the other hospitals that you are covered for on your own plan.

Don't forget the upgrade rule if you have a procedure pending.
