Hello AAM. I am considering renewal of VHI PMI 4910 (EUR 1,817.00). Can anybody recommend any other VHI alternatives for the same money or slightly less (looking for the best cover, day to day benefits available from a VHI plan within a budget 1,700-1,800 Euro max)?
Currently no pre-existing medical conditions. Thank you in advance for any suggestions :)

Hi dovetail,

PMI 4910 from VHI is currently costing €1433.85 to renew.

I suggest you give some consideration to PMI 0710, also from VHI, costing €1311.98.

Cover is broadly similar to PMI 4910. However be aware that there is no cover in the Whitfield Clinic, Waterford nor Kingsbridge Hospital, Sligo with PMI 0710. The inpatient excess is €150, payable only on the first claim per year, with PMI 0710 whereas every inpatient claim with PMI 4910 is subject to an excess of €100.

All providers have very good plans in the €1300 to €1500 range so unless you were looking to fully cover a private room in private hospitals there is no need to spend much more.

I hope this is helpful.

Thank you for your reply Riomhaire! That's very helpful! I am going to check out PMI 0710. However, I just now realised there is a typo in my original post! I should have said PMI 4710 that VHI had quoted EUR1,817! apologies for confusion :)
