Van Tax without DOE?

I am looking to tax my van that I bough trecently. The DOE disk was missing so I hav eno numbers to use on the tax form. The guy I bought it from told me it was DOE'd until March. He is trust worthy. My tax is up and my DOE is booked for a few weeks time. I ahve sent off my tax form atc. Just wondering if anyone knows if it will be accepted?!!

No I'd say they wont tax it, When a van is doe'd a cert is given to owner by garage which is produced at time of taxing and you must have it doe'd every year.
