US Import - What VAT rate?

Hoping somebody can help me out with what are probably some very basic questions…

I am thinking of importing goods from the US to resell to consumers in Ireland.
The manufacturer of the goods in the US has provided me with a distributor’s price list.
I am assuming that these prices are Ex-VAT. What VAT rate would be charged to me?
And when re-selling to the public in Ireland what VAT rate would I apply?
