I've been trying to better understand PAYE, PRSI and USC on my payslip.
USC deduction is proving a challenge. My gross pay might be the same for 20 payslips a year with 6 that includes a bonus or some other payment. Yet my take home differs very regularly. Looking into it it's driven my different USC taxes weekly.
I can understand that when I get a bonus payment the system may think that's a regular pay cheque and I pay the higher rate on that.
Then maybe the system tries to correct for that? But there isn't any structure to it
I don't want to bother Payroll at the moment. Does anyone else have this issue. In my opinion payslips should include calculations.
