I’m a bit confused. Just opened up a Trade Republic Cash account but I can’t seem to figure out how to transfer say a €1500 start up deposit in to the new account.
You can do it by card or Apple Pay but there are transaction fees whereas they say that SEPA transfer is supposed to be free. Funny , but the app never asks for my current account IBAN in the application process.,Am I missing something ?

Trade Republic doesn't need your current account IBAN. You need your Trade Republic IBAN which is in the app. Click on the blue circle with your initial in at top left of home page.

Sorry , still lost. So can I do a SEPA transfer within the App or do I have to ETF from my current account in to the TR app IBAN ?

Transfer from current account to TR just like any other transfer you would make.

If you're using AIB , then the app only allows irish transfer but if you go the bank homepage and log in from the bank homepage then you can do international payment

Had to activate a card reader I got in the post about a year and yes it worked !! German IBAN , if anyone is in the same boat ( DE) . Thanks Johnny Apples and time to plan

I had forgotten AIB is a pain. I use BoI which is pretty easy.

I find AIB's policies to go against the spirit, if not the letter of the law concerning SEPA transfers. It really should be no different sending payments to a SEPA IBAN than to an Irish one.
