I have a query in relation to our home mortgage. We had a tracker mortgage up until October 2009 with aib.
We sold this property & opened up a new mortgage to finish our new house with aib.
We got a supplement bridging loan on the first mortgage to help us get started on our new house this was on tracker.
There was a continuous chain of lending between the first property & second with AIB.
The letter of offer on the new mortgage we received on 22 Sept 2009 did not not have a tracker option on it and I was led to believe trackers were not an option at this stage.
Should I have been offered a tracker mortgage at that time on the new house.
I queried this with aib on 2015 and received a letter to say I was not entitled to same.
Are they correct in refusing me ?.

Yes, they are.

When you sold your property, you paid off your tracker.

The new mortgage was a completely new contract.
